The annual fire hydrant flushing in the City of Tallmadge will begin on Monday March 27, 2017 and continue weekdays for 2 to 3 weeks. Hydrant flushing removes sediment and iron deposits from the water mains and provides a check of the working conditions of hydrants to insure the best fire protection to our city.
Signs will be posted to alert residents of areas of hydrant flushing. Water may appear discolored after flushing - run the cold water at the lowest level in your home until clear. The water is safe to drink, no boiling is necessary.
