Media Release: Burglary Arrests on Tammery Drive

On Monday September 10 shortly after noon, Tallmadge Police responded to a burglary in progress in the 400 block of Tammery. The resident arrived home and observed two subjects running from the back of his house. Officers located both suspects in the area of Juniata Drive and a foot chase ensued. De’Ante Hanson, 19 of Cleveland was apprehended on Ramona Ave. and a 14 year old female, also from Cleveland, was arrested in the backyards of Juniata Drive. Hanson had discarded a handgun during the foot chase which was found be from the burglarized residence. Hanson was charged with Aggravated Burglary, Weapon Under Disability, Receiving Stolen Property, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Official Business. He also had a warrant from Cleveland for Receiving Stolen Property. He was incarcerated in the Summit County Jail. The female was charged with Delinquency by Aggravated Burglary, Falsification, and Obstructing Official Business. She is at the Summit County Juvenile facility on Dan Street. There have been several burglaries in that neighborhood and detectives are investigating whether this one is linked to the others.
