Community Outreach Services

Community Outreach Services are offered on behalf of the Tallmadge Fire Department as a way to engage citizens in fire safety and promote positive life safety behaviors to reduce overall incidences of injury, death and property loss.
  1. Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC)

The Tallmadge Fire Department is a supporter of the Akron Children's Hospital Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC) advocacy program. Consider donating aluminum cans to this cause.

  2. Home Safety Inspections

The Fire Department conducts home safety inspections.

  3. Envelope of Life

In partnership with Western Reserve Hospital, the City of Tallmadge is a proud participant of the "Envelope of Life" program. The packet is available to all residents to aid emergency responders in the event of a medical emergency.

  4. Residential Lock Box

The residential lock box program allows fire department members to access your home via a key secured outside of your home.

  5. Safety School

The Tallmadge Safety School is a unit in safety education for all children residing within the City of Tallmadge, who are eligible to attend Kindergarten (public, private or home school) for the first time. There are typically two sessions held each year at the Tallmadge Recreation Center prior to the start of the academic year.

  6. Scheduled Tours

The Fire Department conducts scheduled tours.
