Maca Pool

About Maca Aquatic Center

The Maca Pool complex consists of a 250,000-gallon water park that includes a 6 lane lap pool, enclosed flume slide, speed slide, zero depth entry area, shamu kiddie slide, large barrel splash zone and tear drop bucket dumps. The pool provides guests with shower room facilities, full service concession stand area and large deck shade umbrellas. The crystal clear pool water is heated by a 2,000,000 British Thermal Unit (BTU) heater which makes the pool water inviting no matter what the air temperature. Maca Pool has quickly become a summer favorite "staycation" destination for families seeking big fun in an intimate wooded park setting at reasonable rates that you won't find at those mega water parks.

Reconstruction Project

Since 1980, the City of Tallmadge has owned and operated an outdoor pool known as Maca Aquatic Center. In 2007, under the leadership of then Mayor Christopher Grimm, the old Maca Pool was demolished to make way for the new state of the art water complex that opened in June 2009. Current Mayor David G. Kline was the manager of the Maca Pool reconstruction during his time as Service Director for the city. The reconstruction project was an ambitious endeavor that saw the entire former pool complex and adjacent picnic shelters redesigned and built in entirely new locations within the park.

Location

Maca Aquatic Center is located within the 65-acre Maca Park at 183 Maca Drive, Tallmadge, Ohio 44278.
