Ohio law provides the authority for Mayors to perform marriages in the county in which their city is located.  Individuals wishing the Mayor to officiate at their wedding should contact the Mayor’s office for specific arrangements.  The potential bride and/or groom will be responsible for acquiring a wedding license from the Summit County Probate Court prior to any ceremony.
